Resumen del Editor

If you have felt a need to connect to something greater than yourself... a longing to find meaning to life... a yearning to discover a sanctuary of serenity and peace... a hunger to have your heart and soul touched by that Divine love that brings comfort to life... a passionate desire to have a closer relationship with your creator, then the Tao Te Ching is for you. The Tao Te Ching provides an intuitive insight into the art of living an authentic life, and introduces you to the laws of nature on how to live in this world in peace and joy.

With a knowing of the Tao Te Ching, you will see resistance and opposition fade away. Conflict and stress will become distant memories. The issues of life become irrelevant or will simply disappear once you start living your authentic self with the Tao. The Tao shows how to transcend all those insurmountable obstacles that the ego has created.

it's just a translation

I was expecting more of a southern draw from how people were reviewing this, so I was slightly disappointed when 1) there were no Asian words for the man to mispronounce and 2)his accent wasn't a thick and drawn out mess.

it's just a simple translation, there's hardly anything to mess up with how he reads it.

Style of narration

I just didn't like the style of the narrator. I couldn't even get past the first chapter.
Please forgive me narrator. 🙏

Great translation

This is a pretty good translation of the Tao ate Ching. The narrator choice was not very good though. Although he speaks very clearly, he has a little bit of an accent that detracts from the content. If you want to hear Cowboy read an ancient Chinese philosophy, then this book is for you.

A classic, with an absurd narrator

Man with strong Texas accent reads a sacred, ancient, Asian book he can't even pronounce...
