Coastal small town romance with a lot of heart!

Beck and Carly's story about second chances and small town first loves was so sweet! Beckham was the hot doctor and Carly was the super smart criminal psychologist. Their careers were clearly important to them, but both were dealing with baggage that came with the job and drama that threw them both back into their tiny coastal hometown. I truly enjoyed both characters and loved their history together at teens and young adults. I thought the way they ended up back in the same place after all these years was a great way to force them to hash out their old feelings and deal with their past issues. The steam in this read was off the charts! There was just enough drama in this story to keep you entertained but it wasn't thrown in there just for the heck of it. I actually enjoyed the entire storyline surrounding Alize as well. It showed how compassionate and empathetic Carly was towards her patients. I adored the ending of this book and I really hope Tia Louise makes some spin off stories for Henry/Libby and Jessica!!!

I listened to this book on audio, which was narrated by Troy Duran and Samantha Brentmoor. I loved Troy's narration of the male MC and I liked Samantha for the female MC but I didn't like Samantha's attempt at the male voice. It just didn't sound right and was kind of cringey. I received a complimentary audiobook from the author for review.

blown away by Beck and Carleys story

Where do I begin with this fantastic book? First off Bravo to Tia Louise on another powerful book with such a strong message in it. I am going to tell you that once you start reading or in my case ( listening) audiobooks don't make plans because you will not want to stop until the end. Beck has been through so much his entire life and has only ever loved one woman and now they're both back home after all these years but will fate bring them back together or destroy them even more? You are truly going to be blown away by Beck and Carleys story. I have to Bravo to Troy Duran And Samantha Brentmoor for bringing these characters to life with your fantastic voices and you both were perfect for it . I absolutely loved reading the book, but Audiobooks make it so much more and shh Troy's voice swoon worthy and panty melting hot!!!

Heart-pounding, and Steamy Second Chance Romance!

I absolutely loved and completely devoured this heart-pounding, and swoony, second-chance romance! Louise captured me right from the start with her enchanting story, and intriguingly rich characters. This is the last story in the Bayside Heroes series and I was so excited to read more about Beck Munroe. We didn't find out much about him in the other stories except he's a broody, successful Doctor. He is haunted by things in his past, especially about losing the one woman he has ever loved, who got away. When he treats someone he knows from his past, he decides to head back to his summer beach home from his youth to check up on his patient. What he didn't expect, was to find the love of his life to be back in town as well. Carly Dennison is a criminal psychologist who is laying low in her home town when a threat is made against her life. It is great to be home and reconnect with family and friends. What she didn't expect was the extreme emotions that would resurface when she sees Beck again. He was her first everything and could never forget him and the heartbreak he caused her. They both have so many unresolved feelings and regrets, but their chemistry is more explosive than ever. Beck wants to make up for his past actions, and wants to show Carly that she can trust him to never hurt her again. But just as they start to find the future together that they always dreamed of, the danger to Carly threatens to end her for good. Beck and Carly are both flawed and carry emotional scars and secrets, but have such strength, resilience and beautiful hearts of gold. Beck is so swoony with his patients and how protective he is of Carly and she is a great heroine. I love them both along with Carly's family and best friend, Jessica, who all add so much humor, and unconditional love and support to each other.
There are many sweet and funny moments as well as heart pounding suspense that made it impossible for me to stop listening! Especially with the exquisite narration by Troy Duran, and Samantha Brentmoor who helped to make this story even more sweet and sizzling with their flawless performance. Their chemistry as Beck and Carly is off the charts as they deliver all the witty banter, passion, thrills, and emotion so beautifully. I felt like I was right there, completely immersed in this world.
This is a moving, and heartwarming story about healing, family, and second chances at love. This Bayside Heroes series was so much fun and Tangled Up was a great way to wrap up these amazing heroes!

Fun & Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story overall.

The back and forth was a little hard to follow.

The mystery surrounding the female main character wasn’t my fave as mystery stories just aren’t my favorite to read. Especially since this is a romance and the element of surprise on how it turns out is shit in the foot. HOWEVER the love story element between Beck and Carly was lovely and second chance stories are like crack to me lol

The narrators: Troy Duran is maybe a tad old for this role but he is a very talented performer and keeps you engaged. He has a lovely gravel to his voice.

Samantha Brentmoor is also quite the talent. Her guy voice can be off sometimes but it really doesn’t take you out of the story.

I didn't want to stop listening!!!

What an absolutely amazing narration by this duo! This went beyond “reading” the story and was a full on performance. I couldn’t imagine anyone else being Carly and Beck, as these narrators made this their own. I loved every moment of it!

This had a little bit of everything in it. Humor, sadness, anger, desire, romance and all of it interspersed with the perfect amount of suspense. I was on pins and needles to learn what exactly had happened between Beck and Carly. When it was finally revealed, I was heartbroken and yet the action of speaking about it was cathartic.

What an emotional journey this was! I couldn’t get through it fast enough to learn how they were going to get their happily ever after. They took me on the very highest of highs with their romance, including a chemistry that was intensely hot and required me to switch from heat to air conditioning, stat. I then plummeted to some of the most insane lows I’ve ever experienced with a book by this author. I was truly wrecked and found myself bawling my eyes out and not so silently cursing T.L. Then she sweetly healed my broken heart and gave me the most wonderful ending I could imagine.
