Life is crazy. Prayer is simple.

Prayer seems like it should be so simple. Yet when it comes to actually praying, often it feels awkward and complicated.

I mean...what should you actually pray about? What do you say?

Is there anything you should or shouldn't say? Do you have to speak out loud? Where do you even start?

To make matters worse, we've heard about prayer for so long that we feel awkward asking about it. It's like having to ask a person's name after knowing them for years. Because we really should know their name by now, we feel embarrassed to ask.

Then comes the reality and craziness of life. Between work, changing diapers, walking the dog, a full inbox, trying to keep up with our neighbors...and the laundry, who has time to pray?

The truth is, prayer is simple. It's like talking. Talking with a good friend. And what we may not know is the best part: no matter where we are in life, God can't wait to talk with us.

great book. very relatable and real. you will enjoy the author's sense of humor as well.

A Surprisingly Fun, Relatable Book on Prayer

Man. I saw the title of this book and, having worked at a large nationally recognized prayer ministry, I was afraid this would be another pie in the sky touty book on prayer. It was quite the opposite. It was fun and relatable. It was nice to see the author, who's a pastor, open up and be vulnerable about his definciencies. We all go through this. I was moved and inspired to talk with God more in my daily life (knowing that I fall short) and be more intentional about praying for others around me. Overall, this is a great book. Highly recommended.

Great book for all seeking to have a genuine relationship with God

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator, who is also the author, did a great job bringing the words to life.

I would recommend this book for anyone seeking to have a true relationship with God. Whether new in their walk or years in, this book speaks to the fact that God wants intimate relationships with His children.

Easy to read and even easier to relate to. I've shared it already and I know I will listen again a couple times more. God bless you and please, keep praying for all of us who struggle to have a better life of prayer.

Great insight into Prayer

Great personal stories about prayer. This book will strengthen and simplify communication with God. I enjoyed this book very much.

Amazing story, full of God

The premise is lovely, the story is lovely, the flow is easy to follow. The message is clear. The book is fun and 100% relatable.

However, Adam should have had another person narrate his amazing book. His use of inflection was confusing throughout the entire book. He would end a sentence sounding like it was a question. His pauses (or lack of) made it difficult to follow at times. He didn't sound genuine while reading, even though the words themselves seemed genuine. It honestly almost sounded as though he was reading somebody else's book for the first time and recording it.

All that said, I am definitely going to buy a physical copy to write in. This story is just so wonderful.
