Two tales from the trail:

Grub Line Rider
Kim Sartain is an easygoing, peace-loving drifter. But when cattleman Jim Targ challenges Sartain's right to ride across an unclaimed stretch of meadow, Sartain retaliates by deciding to homestead there. Soon, more is at risk than land and pride, when Targ decides to teach Sartain a permanent and deadly lesson.

One Last Gun Notch
Morgan Clyde was driven off his small ranch by a hired gunman. He worked odd jobs, but soon found himself being hired to use his gun. Now he's working for a land hog in Red Basin who wants a young homesteader and his wife driven off. The scenario is too familiar, and Clyde finds that he must make a decision.

Two interesting stories about the myth of the American west. The second story is short and almost sounds incomplete, but it is sad story that makes you think.

Another interesting story

the writers arteries are always amazing sometimes the other narrator tries too hard to get in rule but it sounds like he's reading a book to himself not accentuating on proper parts of the sentence pauses in wrong part of sentences just my opinion the others guy voice sounds western and nice to hear just not how he reads it so stick w Rudnicki I'd you can first.

narrator my favorite not too much or too little

Grub Line Rider
Try to drag iron!
Kim Sartain was drifting through the country, minding his own business when he was approached, or more like assaulted by three riders ordering him to move around the area. This got Sartain’s hackles up and in a mood to cause some trouble. Jim Tard was going to be the hombre on the receiving end. Tom Monahan, the big Y7 rancher on the lower end of the valley, was going to give Sartain a start in ranching. Sartain’s ranch, right where Tard had told him to move along. Tanner was a gunman in the employ of Tard. This would be a more serious problem to overcome. All in a day’s work for Sartain.
One Last Gun Notch
Memories…
Morgan Clyde had been a homesteader with his wife Diana and a few cattle until Red Bridges. Morgan rode into Peedy Mill to claim his revenge. Morgan became a gun for hire. Now he worked for Sherman, a dangerous and greedy man who, like others of his ilk, wanted land and power. Vic Hallum was the strongest of the Nestors in the Red Basin. Sheman wanted him out, then the rest would flee. Sheman sent Morgan to take care of the problem. Morgan’s memories decided the case.

Short, concise, good narration. Excellent short story format. Both have great endings. I highly recommend these stories

Good listen

Both stories were simple and refreshing, not too long, but yet long enough they were easy to understand and clear I’d rather enjoyed them, I hope this helps others and thank you Mr. l’Amour.

Very refreshing

I really enjoyed the stories. Louis L'Amour is a favorite author of mine since I was young. when I get stressed out, I like to read one of his books and it calms me down. they always have lots of action and I do love a cowboy hero!

I grew watching my father reading Louis Lamour. Now at the age 50 it's my turn to be a fan. He's always a good read.

L'Amour's works are always entertaining and refreshing. It's pure joy when the good guy wins.

Great reading of a beloved Western writer.

L'Amour can be relied upon for great stories of the American West, and these two are fine examples. Exemplary character becomes apparent from first, a "two-bit drifter" inadvertantly caught in a range contest, and then a gunman trapped in a web of his own life's decisions. I enjoyed both and really liked the conclusions for each of them.

Memorable stories
