There isn’t really a “go to” book - or audiobook - on Scripture. Sure, there are plenty of theological books on Scripture, and lots of popular-level works on how to read Scripture, and more and more books on the whole story line of Scripture. But there is not one book that people turn to for the basics on the Bible. We need a book that college freshmen will read when they have questions, a book that mentors can use and small groups will employ, a book that a Bible class in high school or college might assign. We need a audiobook on the Good Book that is relevant enough to get a hearing, but timeless enough to be read with profit twenty years from now.

That’s the sort of book popular author, pastor, and blogger Kevin DeYoung has aimed to write. Great job logically explaining the accuracy and appropriateness of scripture in a way some who follows or doesn’t follow Christ can appreciate.

Yes, it's like a certain food, and as I like some foods more than others, I eat them more often; therefore this book feeds me is why I would read it again, again and again.

There is no other. This book is very thorough to whom's word it refereing to.

Solid and easy to understand.

This is a great book about how to read and understand the Bible. It’s easy to understand. It flows easy and it’s easy to stay focused. I highly recommend it!

This is a great book for the average. Christian needs to have confidence in god's word.

Much needed for the church today!

This will be a helpful resource for years to come! I think this should be a part of every believer's library and incorporated into discipleship at the congregational level. The audio book was narrated excellently and I listened to the whole book in just 3 days of casual listening. (It only takes 3 hours to read the entire book.)

Of course, this is not a book to just listen to. I will listen to this again while I read and underline important points in the hardcover book now that I'm familiar with the content. I can't stress enough how important this book is for providing a logical and biblical foundation to articulate why a Christian believes what they believe - particularly about the Bible.

Wonderful resource for a beginner. Easy to comprehend and understand and follow. No forced opinions just straight talk. Loved it.

A simple book to help navigate what you believe in

I loved this book. DeYoung provides a book to understand why we can believe in the authority of the Scripture. The author uses easy language so that everyone can understand what is being taught. I highly recommend this book.
