The colorful characters that Blake encounters, led by the larger-than-life Francesca Todd, are true believers that challenge his assumptions. Ultimately he chooses his own path, one far different than he had originally imagined for himself.

This novel questions traditional definitions of success, and suggests a more grounded, open-minded approach to a happy life.
