the monotone of the narrator makes your mind simply wander off.

Very difficult to feel engaged. Began to sound similar to the Peanuts cartoons teacher.
I finished the first chapter and have no idea what I was listening to.

I honestly had to stop the reading/listening.

Perhaps it was beyond my reading comprehension. Perhaps I needed a more simplistic narration. It could have been my inability to understand it as a whole.

But, If you want to be bored to tears with a monotonous tone. Then THIS is your book!
