Cold Case, Warm Hearts
When Marla Fresques comes into Samantha Sweet's bakery to order a cake for her son's memorial, and tells Sam the story of when her son went missing. Marla, believing her son is still alive, enlists Sam's help in locating her son, who has been gone for ten years. The former sheriff gave the family little help in locating him, so Sam and her fiance, police chief, Beau begin investigating his disappearance. Samantha's compassion for others always warms my heart. The bakery is over busy for the Valentine's Day holiday, causing stress for Sam, who had originally planned their wedding around that time. As Beau and Sam's wedding date draws closer, a vixen of a woman comes into the bakery and buys a box of Sam's magical chocolates announcing that she is back in town to lure back her old boyfriend . . . and he is none other than Beau! She's drop dead gorgeous, high maintenance . . . and she's got Sam scared out of her baker's apron . . . Book Four has plenty of twists and turns (some very close to home) . . . but the author works them out brilliantly . . . BRAVO!

Easy listen...very real life
If you could sum up Sweet Hearts in three words, what would they be?
Loved it
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Not a thriller. But loved the hint of mystery.
What about Andrea Bates’s performance did you like?
Ms. Baste's voice matches my visual picture of Sam Sweet! Love it.
