Fantastically Magical

I was amazed that the narrator Steve Barnes brought the characters alive! He sounded just as I had imagined them to sound when I read the book.
Sarah Noffke did a fantastic job in bringing a magical story to life. Very intriguing and suspenseful with ever chapter. Each character is unique with abilities that just are was inspiring. It would behove you not to listen. Let it take you away for awhile.

Another awesome angle in the dream traveler theme

This is the nineteenth book I’ve read/listened to by this author and I would listen to absolutely anything she writes. I love all her books. I’m looking forward to starting the Beaufont Stories. I’ve listened to almost all her Dream Traveler books, and many of the Ghost Squadron Series.
I love how all the Dream Traveler books have original storylines and different factions of Dream Travelers. This one is no exception.
This group of Dream Travelers live and work together as a traveling circus. I don’t find the crew is as aware of the potential threat as the publishers summary implies. It was not that apparent while listening. What it did was keep me on edge wondering when the murder would make an appearance. The focus seemed to be more on the newest and mysterious addition to the group and his interplay with the other performers. We do gain insight into the past and a curse that has been laid upon the circus. The performers had a variety of abilities and I like how they used their gifts.

This is the first book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Steve Barnes ) and I would listen to another. His voice is kind of breathy and added an ominous feel overall. He did well with individualizing the characters and bringing the story to life.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

dream travelers

the dream travelers who preform in the vagabond circus are extremely talented. There's mystery and murder and lots of fun to be had

Great Book

Suspended by Sarah Noffke was a great read. Suspended revolves around the Vagabond Circus. It is a circus that is run by and features some Dream Travelers. The circus was started to give Dream Travelers a place to be and to show people that magic exists. I really enjoyed reading about the circus and what transpires when a stranger joins. This was a good book that I recommend to everyone.

Excellent read

I’m glad that I requested this book! It was a well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well-developed characters. The book started slowly but once it picked up it was full of twists & turns that leave you guessing. The Dream Travelers & the circus are unique and very creative, although they did remind me of X-Men. The characters each had their own differing personalities. I need book 2 ASAP!!! The entire book left you wanting to know so much more, but also left so many unanswered questions about the circus, its origins, the curse and what happened 20 years ago to name just a few. Narrator Steve Barnes’s narration added to the book’s enjoyment. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible versions I was able to follow along while being read to. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I look forward to the sequel, Paralyzed (Vagabond Circus #2). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Different

I really liked this book. The characters are different and I love that. This circus is definitely different than a normal one. I think it would be fun to be apart of this one. I highly recommend it.

such a great book. Steve Barnes is perfect narrating. a must listen. can't wait to hear rest of the series

I found myself transported to a dark circus!

I loved the world the story! I felt like I was at the magical circus with Finlay, Zuma and Jack. their story is beautiful, captivating but also sad! This book brought the magic of the circus in a way that I haven't seen before, I loved it!

Grand Story!

This is an amazing storyline and an truly amazing author. I literally just got lost in Steve's telling of the story and the story itself! It is wonderful!
