Tim shares information how he has kept his portrait photography business going in an industry that has seen photographer after photographer go out of business. He shares his research from the last 15 years on the impact the internet and digital photography has had on the portrait industry.
The book is an easy listen, divided into three different sections. The first part explains the cause of the death and destruction of the photo business. The second part gives some fun and creative ways and ideas on how to keep a photography business profitable in the current digital era. The third part is a great thesis by retired professional photographer Fred Hinegardner.
The audiobook has information for photographers just starting out, experienced photographers, and studio owners wanting to slow down and keep photography still a part of their life. He gives advice on getting a college degree in photography, and other less expensive ways to get a photography education. The book is short, but also tries to get the listener to think and be creative. Photographers shouldn't lose their health, happiness and marriage because of being a photographer. Being an artist, business owner, photographer, and entrepreneur is hard, but it can also be enjoyable and lead to a happy life.
