Resumen del Editor

Super Agent. Maverick. Reformer. Iconoclast. Dealmaker. Dentist? Jerry Argovitz has worn many hats in his remarkable life, both inside and outside of the world of sports. As a player agent representing and advising some of the biggest names in the game, Argovitz challenged the NFL both at the negotiating table and in the courtroom, earning a reputation as one of the most powerful men in professional sports. He successfully negotiated the first million-dollar guaranteed contract in NFL history, wrote the language for career-ending insurance policy underwriting for Lloyds of London, and brokered the deal that brought Heisman Trophy–winner Herschel Walker to the upstart USFL as a junior, which opened the floodgates for all underclassmen to follow.

As the owner of the Houston Gamblers of the USFL, Argovitz helped to implement several rules which were subsequently adopted by the NFL, and served as a principal figure in a lawsuit against the NFL that proved the league was guilty of Sherman Antitrust violations. Now, Argovitz has a plan to reform the corrupt world of college sports, a plan he will share in this eye-opening book.

Fantastic story for any sports fan!

I'm an avid sports fan and this taught me a lot about what happens in the NFL behind the scenes...

Every Student-Athlete and parents should read this book

This was quite the eye opener. Gives you a better perspective on the history of the NCAA, NFL and how far the NFL professional athletes has come. I can say that Dr. Jerry Argovitz did what was right - not easy. As Bruce Lee said, “Do not pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.”

Easily the Worst Book I've Ever Listened to

If you love shameless bragging from someone who is basically explaining over the course of a book that he has no credibility, then this is the book for you. If you like ppl who complain about Donald Trump then carry out his orders zealously and shamelessly, then this is the book for you bc that's exactly what happens at the end (with zero explanation as to why, just lame, empty regret). The narration was comically bad, the author is a flaming tool whose mantra is the same as the Donald's 'If you're telling the truth, you ain't bragging.' No shame, no credibility, and half of the book is just lame stories and exaggerations. I feel sorry for anyone who has purchased this book or plans to in the future.
