Acerca de esta escucha
This is an audio summary and analysis of the short story called "The Swimmer". It was part of a short story collection I had to read for a ENG (English College Class).
I hope this will provide a great example of how a summary analysis should look like in regards to the short story. I did reflect on symbols, motifs, and themes in the story and how they can relate to life in general.
I hold an Associates of Business Management Technology, and I also am finishing up my Bachelor's of Business Administration degree.

One of the great fears many of us face is that despite all our effort and striving, we will discover at the end that we have wasted our life. In A Guide to the Good Life, William B. Irvine plumbs the wisdom of Stoic philosophy, one of the most popular and successful schools of thought in ancient Rome, and shows how its insight and advice are still remarkably applicable to modern lives. In A Guide to the Good Life, Irvine offers a refreshing presentation of Stoicism, showing how this ancient philosophy can still direct us toward a better life.

In the world of strength and conditioning, learning how to move others not just physically, but also psychologically and emotionally is paramount to getting the most out of them. Unfortunately, while much attention has been given to the science of physical training, little attention has been given to the science of communication.

Of all the religions, creeds, and self-help manifestos the world has produced, most concentrate on how to achieve salvation in aspects other than the here-and-now, with our lives merely transitory testing grounds for a higher realm or our actions guided so that we maximize life in a state of "enlightened hedonism", consuming rapaciously but really achieving not much at all. But there's one philosophy that provides a concrete foundation for living well, for living "a good life" in this world. Stoicism.

There are four characters in every story: the victim, the villain, the hero, and the guide. These four characters live inside us. If we play the victim, we’re doomed to fail. If we play the villain, we will not create genuine bonds. But if we play the hero or guide, our lives will flourish. The hard part is being self-aware enough to know which character we are playing. In this book, Donald will use his own experiences to help you recognize if the character you are currently surfacing is helping you experience a life of meaning.

If you need to know anything about the short story called the Swimmer, then this is the book for you. It is full of info, and is highly detailed, and would be highly useful to a student in need of some help figuring out some points on the story. The writing is solid and on point. Wosik's narration is solid and very easy and pleasant to listen to, he won't bore you. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. Getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.
