I really liked this story. It was over the top, entertaining, and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable although I did want to smack them upside the head a few times. Charlie was attending his father’s wedding reception when he saw a woman that floored him. He decided to pursue her but was interrupted from his pursuit when he found out that she was his new stepsister. Sharon was attracted to Charlie but knew that he was arrogant and her stepbrother. When she found out that her new boss was going to be Charlie, she was determined to just do her job to the best of her ability. Charlie had other ideas. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Listening to the audiobook was quite enjoyable as well. The narrator did a good job of differentiating the characters and bringing the story to life. I recommend listening to this audiobook.

Great read. I really enjoyed this story. I loved the characters, the storyline was very entertaining, and it has an interesting ending.Very enjoyable read. I loved the characters, there was lots of chemistry, an awesome and entertaining storyline, and a really great ending. Really great read.

Charlie and Sharon

Charlie (H) instantly falls for his new stepsister, Sharon (h), and is surprised to find out she’s his new personal secretary. Sharon is drawn to Charlie but resists his advances since he’s her boss and her stepbrother. But Charlie keeps coming and working to wear her barriers down until things heat up between the two. Hot and steamy steps instalove quickie.

This is a short and quick read/listen. It is about Sharon and Charlie. They first meet at their parents wedding and the attraction is undeniable. He sees her and knows she is the one but when he finds out she is his new step-sister things are not so easy. She was attracted to him but knows he is arrogant. When she finds out he is her new boss she wants to keep things professional. He has a different idea. This is a fun, flirty and steamy read. The narrator did a good job.

Engaging

I totally enjoyed this engaging story. I loved how Charlie didn’t care what others thought, he was going to get his way. Sharon felt it would be taboo even though it is not in any way. I thought the narrator could have done a little better with discerning between the characters voices they were so very similar. I really enjoyed their parents, they were so personable.

Okay

This is a sizzling short story of a woman and a man who fall into a relationship even though they are step-siblings and boss and employee. Charlie's dad and Sharon's mom are celebrating their wedding and this is the first time they've ever met. There's an immediate connection that turns to surprise when Sharon reviews for a new job and Charlie is the CEO. As much as she fights the idea, Charlie thinks this is the perfect way to claim her as his own. These shorter stories by Emma Bray are usually cute, sweet and definitely stalkerish, all in a good way. This one isn't quite so sweet or sexy when there's so much time spent on Charlie coercing and pushing Sharon for sex. She's a virgin and he unknowingly takes her virginity in an elevator and even though she screams out in pain, he doesn't stop. I was more than a little annoyed with him and it wasn't looking good. I didn't feel much joy from Sharon, just a desire to resign her position. It was okay, but it's not something I'd necessarily recommend.
The narration is very good and, with a dynamic voice, tone and pace, Mackenzie Berry brings each of the characters to life.

Stepbrother Taboo!

Another quick read/listen by the author! The characters have the insta-lust that are always present in these types of stories. Sharon is competent and hardworking and wants to become the CEO of a company one day, while Charlie knows the woman he wants is his stepsister and he is the company CEO where Sharon started working. It's full of the over the top possessive behavior, step sibling, employee/employer taboo tropes.
I had a little harder time liking this story than most by Ms Bray. Some of the ideas in the story were more antiquated than I'd like, usually I'm ok with them, but not this time. I found them to be more of a distraction than a positive element to the story.

I liked the narrator, she's narrated some of Bray's other works and she always does a good job with all the voices.

Stepbrother and boss romance

Charlie meets Sharon when their parents get married. Charlie immediately wanted Sharon before he knew Sharon was going to be his new stepsister. Charlie tries to hire Sharon but Sharon tells Charlie she already has a great job. Charlie needs a new secretary and none other than Sharon comes for the interview. Sharon soon finds out how OTT, controlling, and obsessive her new stepbrother and boss can be. Charlie isn't the type to accept no as a answer for anything. Cute and quick read.
