Absolutely love this book!

I am more than halfway through the audio book (wonderfully narrated by the author), and find myself thinking about it throughout the day after listening to a couple of chapters each morning.

The book brings back memories of my life in in Shanghai in the early 2000's, especially my many wonderings around the former French Concession and International Settlement areas.

This is a real gem of a book, and just glad I happened to see the author mentioned in an online article or I might have missed it.

Excellent recount of fascinating historical events containing an important message for society today.

A true historic account not to be missed! The author’s voice enhances the listening experience.
