A great prequel with great narration

Starts With You is everything you want and expect in a prequel to a new series. This short read gave you just enough to leave you wanting more, just enough to have you falling in love with the small town of Heartwood Lake but more importantly it has you falling in love with the characters. I was so excited when I heard Claudia Burgoa was releasing a new series set in another small town and all I need to say is I wasn’t disappointed in fact I fell hard and fast for FBI agent and billionaire Callahan Thorndale. What I didn’t expect was to be intrigued and wanting more from Sophia Hawkins Zimmerman a woman who is keeping secrets…..
Connor Crais and Stella Hunter did a great job bring the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the love and the mystery.
I was captivated and intrigued in this quick read and it certainly kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and now I’m excited for what’s to come from Heartwood Lake.

Great start to a new series

I was so excited when I heard that Claudia Burgoa had a new series releasing. This is the prequel and has only wet my appetite for what is to come in the Heartwood Lake Secret Billionaires series.

I love stories set in small towns such as Heartwood Lake. I really liked FBI agent and billionaire Callahan Thorndale, he ticked all the boxes for me. Whilst Lake Sophia Hawkins Zimmerman is an intriguing woman, a woman who has secrets, who I admired. It may have been a novella but it captivated and held my attention.

Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. Callahan and Lake met at Quantico and have remained best friends. I enjoyed the mystery and intrigue within this story and cannot wait for the next book in the series to learn more about Callahan and Lake and the secrets that are being hidden.

However, the heart wants who the heart wants and the attraction that sizzes between them is too powerful to overlook. As the walls they have both built, begin to crumble they both must learn to trust again. The question is are they prepared to put in the work?

The narration by Connor Craig’s and Stella Hunter drew me in and had me invested as I listened to their narration. They brought the story and characters to life for me. Their voices are easy to listen too, and they expressed all the drama, romance and passion
