Truly a Happy Ending!!

I really enjoyed this series! I was afraid I would get bored with so many titles in it. I underestimated the author's ability to keep things going and change it up some with every episode! She does a great job of developing and "growing " the characters as it progressed! I was in love with the vet right along with the heroine! I kinda felt like a big sister watching her grow up and mature with every perilous situation!
The reader did a great job job for the most part. She seemed to be slipping in this book, as if she was getting tired of keeping them separated! The previous books she did a better job job of keeping them separate, distinguishing the voices between characters! I would highly recommend this series, especially to the animal lovers!I I appreciate the continuity of the characters and the story line. I only noticed one little booboo at the beginning of the last book! When she referred to the Cobb brothers as "One was dead and the other in prison", which was not quite accurate at that point!
I think the only reason it stood out to me was because everything else was spot on!! I will definitely watch for more from this author! Thanks!

Very satisfying series!

At first I was hesitant to engage knowing that one of the main characters was animal. However, this author has made it a delight to get to know “Robo” and all the characters in this series. I feel I have learnt a lot while being thoroughly entertained.

Addicting Series

After listening to book 1 in this series, I listened to one after another of all the subsequent ones. I learned lots I hadn’t known about K 9s. The main characters are engaging. Each book continues to use the familiar ones, while introducing new characters at a reasonable pace. I am looking forward to the time Audible will have the 2024 book in this series.

Brilliant Great Story

I have listened to many Robo adventures and love them all. Standing dead is very well written and very well read. A good balance of crime , Interesting facts and the human touch of interaction. I look forward to your next book. I am a great fan.

I really enjoyed this one! It was well done and engaging. It pulled me in from beginning to end and was very well done with drawing and tying things together for the next step in figuring out what happened to her father all those years ago. There is a new cold case detective assigned and when Mattie and her sister goes to see their mom in Mexico to see if they can convince her to share some information, they find out that she and her husband packed up without much warning and haven't been heard from since. Back in Colorado, Mattie and Robo come home to a chilling note on her door sending them on a search out in the high country among the "standing dead" where Robo finds a dead man tied to one of the "standing dead" trees. Turns out, Mattie recognizes him as her mother's husband. Then another note comes to Mattie saying that her mother is in dire straights and Mattie doesn't have much time. This story definitely had quite a few twists and turns as they have a few things going on and trying to track down who was at the campgrounds/hiking trails to have dumped the body and where they could be keeping her mom. Then the threat level doubles down and time is continuing to run out. I thought this story was really well done and woven well with the intrigue and mystery. We also get to see Mattie continue to build and lean on her relationships with everything going on. We continue to see the character development throughout and there was plenty of action as well. I'm excited for what's coming next in the series! I love Mattie and Robo as well as the rest of the crew.
The narrator did a great job with the characters and bringing the action and story to life.

The final days

The whole team worked together to make a well thought out plan for the safety and rescue of Maddy and family, and the capture of the criminals.

Loved learning more about Mattie, Robo, Cole, and all our favorite Timber Creek characters’ journey. Can’t wait for the next one!
