Book 2...

The second book in the series builds wonderfully on the mystery, fun, and blossoming romance. Both the story and narration were excellent. I’m definitely looking forward to more adventures with Gideon and Dacey—I really hope there’s a third book!

Bad Magic

This second book in this series was just as action packed as the first one. I love the play between Gideon and Daisy!!!

Paranormal

Spirit Marked by Gwen DeMarco is an excellent urban paranormal fantasy. Janine Granda did an excellent job with the narration. Spirit Marked is the second book in Auras & Embers series. The story is entertaining, interesting, action packed, engaging, romantic, adventurous, and more. Highly recommend. I like the dynamic between the two main characters. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Excellent Story

I enjoyed this 2nd book in this Series almost more then the 1st book. Gwen DeMarco is one Heck of a great author and I just cannot wait for the next book in this Series. Narrator does a Wounderful job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline. Highly Recommend This Book and Author!!!

Back for more!

The dust has settled from meeting Dacey and having his life turned upside down. Gideon is training to be a part of the conclave and learning all about is abilities but he misses his new friend. When she comes strolling through the doors at his crematory, his whole world brightens. That is till she asks him to join her on a case. The story telling is so unique with storylines that have you guessing and second guessing yourself. Crazy characters and plot twist and there’s always a good amount of humor mixed in. I truly enjoy the creativity of this author and the way she drawls you into her world that has its own spins on paranormal and the narrator just brings it all to life! I hope there are many more of those world because I have truly enjoyed it!

Love this series

Gideon has been training to improve his auramancer skills since he last saw Dacey. He has still been working at the crematorium while he trains and hasn’t seen Dacey in months. She calls him one day and says she has cleared for him to work a case with her in Millhaven, Florida where residents are dying with no apparent cause. Only Gideon is able to observe the lack of magic created when they die and only he is able to figure out that Dacey has become a target as well. Can he figure out who’s behind this and save Dacey before it’s too late?
Gideon is such a fun character. Dacey is as well, but she’s obviously fun. She’s bubbly and happy all the time (how I have no idea esp in her line of work). She is like a ray of sunshine. But Gideon is fun in his own way. He is always there for Dacey, he’s willing to do what it takes and he has a quirky sense of humor. They have a great dynamic together and complement each others styles perfectly. And I was definitely impressed with how much he steps up by the end of the book!
I like the build up to the final scenes of the book. This isn’t cozy but it reminds me of cozy in that there’s a lot of time to sift through the clues and try to figure out before all the major action happens. You’re left guessing who is really behind this for the whole book and as usual I was completely wrong! And just when they think they’ve solved the case, it takes a turn for the absolute worst! And I was once again surprised completely by the outcome! And the narrator is fantastic! I absolutely enjoyed listening to this book (series).
