Great story but stick to the book version

The story itself is fantastic! However, the narration is absolutely terrible. The cadence and inflection of the speaker is so weird. It’s almost like a parody of someone preforming a play deliberately badly.

A chilling fun time

The narrator made this story come to life. I'd recommend it to any ghost story enthusiast!

Good story but the narration is difficult

I enjoyed the story but find that I am suffering through the narration. I would actually like to hear the next books but don't think I could deal with more of this reader.

I liked it but it was a bit to scary for kids 10 and under

Painful

I tried listening to this book because it is on a reading list for students at my school. I often like to listen to their books as I'm driving back and forth to work. however, I was not able to finish this. I think it's the cadence of the speakers voice that is so off-putting to me. I'm so distracted by that that I really am having a hard time focusing on the book. so unfortunately, I will not be finishing this. I will check out the book from the library and read it myself.
