Perfectly Perfect!

Such a wonderful story and especially listening to on audible. With the incredible writing of Suzanne G Rogers, who weaves stories that just feeds my craving of historical romance to the nth degree and beyond! Her characters come off the pages or in this case through the amazing narrative of Stevie Zimmerman, who always manages to engulf my senses and make me feel I am there watching the story unfold.
The story of a young lady, Claire, who after being jilted, decides to be independent and move to the home her grandmother left her. Unfortunately the house had been neglected for years and feels a little overwhelmed. Her first course of business is to get the stream running again due to her neighbor having damned up the water flow to his benefit.
That neighbor, Meriweather Holcroft is not what he appears but there is a lot she slowly begins to learn as they clash then come together, The attraction is undeniable!
Prepare to be enchanted and enthralled by the story and narrative. Perfect!!

Worth the Listen

Very poor audible support! Because of this it took a while to get into the book. After you started it was a good story.

A VERY WELL-WRITTEN STORY

A VERY GOOD FOR TRAIL OF THE OLD CASTE SYSTEM IN ENGLISH SOCIETY. STANDING AT A TIME OF HIGH CULTURAL CHANGE. THE STORY IS WELL WRITTEN AND EASY-TO-FOLLOW. ACCEPTABLE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. THE NARRATOR STEVIE ZIMMERMAN IS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW.
THE STORY LINE IS WELL WRITTEN THE NARRATOR SHOWS IN PAD DEPTH UNDERSTANDING FOR THE CULTURE AND THE TIMES. THE THE STORY IS FULL OF LAUGHS AND HUMOROUS QUIPS THROUGHOUT.

Spinster

Enjoyed this book so much I listened to it twice. But the writing done by the romance authors seems so similar, I'm beginning to feel that the the same person/persons is/are writing all of them.

Enticing, engrossing and engaging

Not much more to say about this lovely romance. True that the mystery got solved a little too easily but overall I loved the heroine and the hero and never once found myself bored which says a lot for me :). Great performance as well

As a rule I don't reread a book or listen more than once to an audio book, but I do think I would give this book a second go.

I enjoyed this spirited spinster who refuses to let her shameful state define her. She sets out to make her own place in the world with no concessions to society. Her handsome neighbor infuriates her even as she is drawn to him.This spinster was not a vapor fainting female and I enjoyed her story with all of its twists and turns.

I enjoyed the unique twists and aspects to this story and that is was a clean romance with interesting topics and plot.

There were a few times that the recording was a little ruff. But it didn’t spoil the book looking for more books by this author 🙂
