Space scientist Carin Gonzales and former submarine commander Jake Sabio are two strangers drifting separately through life when a thunderous explosion above the giant Barringer Meteor Crater inexplicably brings them together, transforming both in unpredictable ways. Top 25 percentile.Well crafted journey, performed very well with enough twists and turns to keep the listener engaged with the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Specific Impulse?

The entire "conclusion" is relatively drama filled and moves forward in a manner that is unavoidably compelling.

What does Dayna Steele bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Yes, she is excellent at owning the characterrs, and keeping them clearly differentiated. I feel this is exactly the type of book that lends itself to an audio format, versus print.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me research the concepts, that is for sure.

This is a keeper, and a good example of a production I downloaded purely on recommendations from other listeners. Surely a lesson there! Enjoy.
