When small-time con man Cal Carver is thrown in jail and forced to share a cell with a semi-naked, cannibalistic serial killer, he's pretty sure his day can't get any worse. Boy, is he wrong. I Funking Love this series.

This is a great, and I repeat great dramatized adaptation. Graphic Audio does an amazing job as always. The way the author makes the characters personalities is just plain brilliance in my opinion. I definitely recommend this book or this adaptation of it to any sci-fi lover or anyone just looking for a great story.

Literary crack for sci-fi addicts

If you have even the slightest hint of interest in this kind of thing, do not miss this opportunity. Take it. You will thank me later. It is even better than what you hope for.

Very Douglas Adams - like. Hilarious and well written. I will certainly be listening to this one again.

This is one of my favourite comedy sci-fi series

Audible, this is ridiculous!!! I just wanted to rate this book and not write a review. Having to write reviews in order to rate has prevented me from rating at all. I just want to give props to enjoyable reads . I will just copy and paste this "review" going forward.

fun story

love the dramatization of the story. Enjoyed it would recommend to anyone that likes sci-fi comedy genre.

Excellent Graphic Audio Book!

This was my first graphic audio book. I have done other audio books and no offense to the narrators who have an incredibly difficult job of trying to speak clearly and at a reasonable pace, but hearing the same person trying to make up different voices for different characters is at times laughable. What makes it worse is when you have in your mind what a favorite character sounds like and the narrator's impression doesn't come close. Graphic audio books with a large cast of voice actors and sound effects (nice to hear foley artists at work) makes everything so much more enjoyable.
This particular series has a great story line, the main characters, especially Cal Carver, are wonderfully detailed and very 3-dimensional. Very few things can make me laugh out loud and fortunately I listen to these when I am making long road trips by myself as this series has me laughing a lot! I am currently on the third book in the series and hope that there are a lot to follow!

THIS IS AWESOME!

I loved this series and I had hoped that one day they might make it into a TV show. Graphic Audio made my dream come true. I can't wait for thr next episodes.

Love audio dramas

I pretty much enjoy all dramatized adaptations. More specifically apocalypse stories. This was a fun little story.

Author loves torture

So, I'm leaving this review on book one so people know what they're in for. The series does have some humor, and even a little heart. The author freaking loves torture though. Every book the main character gets tortured, every single book. Then, without spoilers, the author gives the main character something that allows him to be tortured EVEN MORE without as much worry about "how did he recover from that?"

Seriously, this author needs some help. If torture porn is what you're looking for, by all means, read this series. If you're a normal person who doesn't like torture, stay far away.

Great cast though. The readers do a wonderful job.
