The United States Space Force has a noble mission - to protect America, to support our allies, and to support our nation's interest as we, along with other nations, move out into the little patch of the universe that is our home system.

The desire to establish a US Space Force has been around for decades, in both science fiction and in the minds of people who attempt to seriously consider what our nation needs in order to deter future wars (and if necessary, to fight and win them). As an institution, the US Space Force has gotten off to a shaky start; however, prolific space writer Taylor Dinerman has great confidence that someday soon, it will find the right leadership and eventually be emancipated from the Department of the Air Force. At that point, the institution can begin to truly serve the great cause of creating a spacefaring civilization - as it was always meant to.

'Ware Politics!

Interesting discussion of the history of the Space Force, the technological and scientific issues, the socio/political issues, and the possibilities of the future.
The author has clearly done his homework, but he definitely has a bias against anyone who doesn't share his politically conservative views. He all but says that anyone on the left doesn't respect the Constitution.

Critical Race Theory Ruined the Military!

Fundamental bias against any non-conservative political platform creates an issue with a credibility of the entire work. Worth reading while it is free, but don't pay anything for it. I'm dropping a star for every transparent political cheap shot.

"It may be politically incorrect to mention it, but the voyages of European exploration opened the way for 500 years of Western civilizational supremacy, which is now morphing into a global civilization, whether we like it or not."

"It's easy to imagine that any plan to launch a cyber attack against an opposing state-sponsored satellite system would be undermined by deep state government bureaucrats... President Trump would almost certainly have chosen to proportionally strike back at any cyber attack against GPS... another president might not"

It isn't just that the author excitedly and seemingly gratuitously impales any presumption of impartiality on the spear of his conservative political bent, it's that his constant need to point out his political awareness implies a fixation on a culture war that isn't relevant to the work. If this were a beltway memoir or a commentary, perhaps even a novel, such opinions would be useful. In this case they are not.

It's not that it's fundamentally political and self-aware of its political bent, it's merely that it's bad writing grasping to add relevance where none exists.
