Definitely different than sentenced to war, but that’s a good thing. I hope there’s more in this series.
Narrator is awesome.

Cliche done well

At first I figured this would be a bad and somewhat strained low quality sci fi, but as I listened it got better and more complicated a web of experience. It is not revolutionary and it holds a lot of what one would expect from the genre, but it is done well and at least the military parts I could relate to and they were believable enough. My Greatest frustration with the book was finding out there is no sequel available on this app. The start was Odd and slow, but sticking to the finish was definitely worth it, and I can only hope it was just the close of the first chapter.

Great book

Outstanding story, it’s essentially an anthology of the various deeds of a well written character. Female voices could be done better.

Very enjoyable

As a Combat Veteran, I didn’t know what to expect when I picked the audio book up. This Sci/Fi was closer to some of the realities of military life than some of the military biographies that I have read and with humor to boot. I will be tracking down more of Brazee’s book today. Good story, good narrative, can’t go wrong with this book.

Great Book, Great Performance

Firstly, incredible work by the narrator. Second, the book itself is a fun and wild ride in a really neat universe. I've listened to this book probably 3 or 4 times and wrapping up another listen. My only complaint is that this book sets up a sequel that has, so far, not been written. The way the book ends leaves you with a feeling of "it's just getting good" despite the book being good the whole time. It just builds up into this sequel and leaves you hanging. Now, aside from that, it's still some really solid sci-fi and great deal of fun to listen to.

From start to finish a good read. Little dry at times then action packed. Still a good read.

the man character is very believable in his thoughts and actions. very grounded storyline and universe I hope to read more in the future.
