Author has a way of writing!!

The telling is fairy tale esque, Gothic esque atmosphere. The tale is sensitively told. You feel a sympathetic connection to the characters in reliving their trauma and still personally supported by the kindness of the language in the story. Translation: I felt the story and it was great and I didn’t get triggered. Nice to have LGBTQIA representation normalized.

There wasn’t a thing I disliked about this story, It was charged, raw, it made me laugh, made me cry… and then in made me hope!

The meaning behind the story is so strong and so many can relate.

I absolutely love this story. It brings such a serious issue to life and shows that it is okay to release your pain.

First half of book was good. Second half seemed to drag.

Ended up listening to the second half at twice speed. It really plodded along. Wished it would have been better.
