Intrigue and Attraction

I loved the characters especially ende Denning and Verity. They had quirks, humor intelligence. The writer was highly descriptive engaging all the senses as she moved the story along.

This author + this narrator = perfection!!

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. I hope there will be more. They are such sweet, well-written love stories, and there are strands connecting one book to another. I did have to chuckle a bit at this one, as one character spoke to another about "catching feelings" lol...it was a bit silly to have such a modern euphemism in what is supposed to be a regency romance, but the rest of the book is so well-written, I will forgive and forget.

Great characters and great story

I like when I can actually be surprised by moments in a novel such as this. Great writing. Very satisfying.

The storyline

A great variety of adventure, romance and jesting between characters! I enjoy learning the words used in this time period and location. Great wrap up in the epilogue!

Narrator

I just love this narrator! Her voice is like an angel! So wonderful to listen to and her performance was amazing!

Adventure

This was such a good book! Clean, uplifting romance, fast paced adventure, funny scenes, and glimpses into the lives of the characters that make me want more!

I love this series. I didn’t want this to end even though I knew who the bad guy was early on. It didn’t matter! Such a fun series. Great narrator as well. I hope that there will be another book on the way. Thank you Joanna Barker!❤️❤️❤️

Love the narrator but the story is predictable

I did enjoy this story. There is a bit of suspense and when it finally happens, the action is compelling. The narrator is great. However, the story is predictable. No surprises.

Just OK

This was a clean historical romance with a little adventure and mystery thrown in. I absolutely love this genre myself, however, this book was just OK. The romance wasn’t all that great to me and the mystery was predictable. I loved secrets and suitors by this author, which has led me to read more of her books. This is not my favorite and would not read again.
