Great Read

Slade (Venom #2) was another good read by Kristen Middleton. Chelsey finds herself on the run from Faye and the Night Roamers. She is on the run with Slade but isn't sure if she can really trust him. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Wow, Time Certainly Flys When You Are Having Fun!!

PNR is my favorite genre and I love them from mild to smokin` hot. However, after listening to this story, I am basing my review on this story being more on the YA end of PNR.

Slade picks up where Venom leaves off and this story grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept me engaged all the way to the end. This is one of those stories you will want to listen to all in one sitting. I know did!:-)

The plot was decent, and the characters were great. I loved the different personalities and the banter between the characters had me laughing out loud.

The story ends on a cliffhanger which I don't mind because I've already decided to get the next book in the series called Toxic. However, I hope there will be other books after Toxic, I would love to hear stories about the other band members.

Meghan Kelly did an awesome job of narrating and brought the characters to life by giving them their personalities and accents.

Meghan gave a great performance, many characters, and accents...she did a fabulous job!!!

SLADE! he is awesome!!! I also love Chelsey!!! they are the heart of this book, this is there story!!

This book picks up where the last one left off...Chelsey and Melody are on the run after the nightclub fiasco....Slade has rescued them, and takes them somewhere safe, well he gives them a choice to come with him and the band back to there country....Well on the flight there they pick up Talia, who is more then she is letting on...and there is definitely a back story there that will shock you....Chelsey fights her attraction for Slade, but finally gives in...and the sparks fly! Shocker ending too!!!

Meghan gave a great performance, that made this book a pure pleasure...and I can not wait for book 3!!! I highly recommend...well worth your time and a credit!!

Slade is a great follow up book for the first one.The story got my attention from the beginning all the way to the end. This is one of those stories you will want to listen to all in one sitting.

A sexy, hot, gentleman and a Vampire! I think I like everything about him, even his dark sides!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really like Liam, he is funny, and acts like a crazy child. I like Chelsey and Melody too but we shall see....

Meghan Kelly is awesome, she managed to perform the different characters and accents excellent! I liked all the characters even 'Talia - Vanessa', as performed by Meghan!

Book just comes to abrupt halt without logical end

I really did enjoy this book, as much as Venom! However, I wish that something had come to a conclusion instead of having to wait for part 3. This book didn't just end on a cliff hangar. It is more like it just came to the end of a chapter and said "No more for this book." I really hate that. It just stops in the middle of the story without rhyme or reason.

I will eventually get the third part, but I doubt I will listen to any more series by this author. I don't like trilogies like this.

Solid Paranormal Romance

If you could sum up Slade: The Venom Series Book 2 in three words, what would they be?

A "solid paranormal romance." I'm not an expert in the genre, but I felt that this book was a good example of this genre.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator did a good job switching between 3 POVs (heroine, male lead, and main antagonist). I enjoyed the additional voices added in the audio whenever more than one character would answer at the same time. The only editing mistake I noticed was a repeated phrase in the middle of Chapter 27.

An exciting vampire saga continues...

The vampire saga continues! Wow, I mean wow! This story is intriguing, witty, exciting, suspenseful and even a romance too. It has so many layers to it and so many things happening. The surprises keep coming, surrounded by lies and deceit. This book definitely kept me guessing. The ending... Let's just say , I was floored! I didn't even see it coming!!!
What a shocker! This book is so good, that it is now 1 am and I read it straight thru in one day!

The author(s) Kristen Middleton & K L Middleton did a freakingly fantastic job on this book! The plot is great. The story line is amazing. OMG, I am still reeling from the ending! The narrator, Meghan Kelly did a fantastic delivery of this story for us with a flawless and entertaining voices and accents. I really like the character Slade too! What a great book! The ending??? All I could think was no effin way!!!
