This is a well written, comprehensive guide for all those overlooked and forgotten single dads out there. No stone is left unturned…grief, finances, stages of development, time-management, etc. I feel more in control and empowered having read it.

Being a parent can be challenging, but being a single dad is certainly tougher. This book will help to go from ''surviving'' to ''thriving'' being a single dad. The author focused on the emotions of the kids to have a better relationship with them. I love that the author spends part of the book on tips on how to take care of ourselves. This is a resourceful book for every single dad out there who wants to improve their life with their child and be a better parent.

My younger brother is a newly divorced single dad, so I listened to this book hoping to help guide him through all the challenges he now faces. This book discusses time management, finances, and scheduling tips, and it also touches on the importance of taking care of yourself so you can be the best dad possible. Alfie Thomas does a great job in his survival guide for single fathers raising kids. Obviously, this is a very difficult topic, because there are so many aspects of raising kids as a single father. Thomas covers it all. From finances, time management, disciplining your kids, and introducing them to a new mother. The author is extremely thorough and gives advice and solutions to the many trials that will come up. He even covers special circumstances such as being a dad with a son only, a daughter only, and even a child with special needs. I think he also does a good job of pointing out that as a single father, we will need help from people and gives great advice on how to ask for this and who to ask from. I highly recommend this for all dad’s, single or not, as they are raising kids.
