Resumen del Editor

Billy Harrington is the biggest player in Blue Ridge, only his wild card is about to be tabled by a feisty silver vixen.

Billy Harrington.

A young girl walks into a bar.... I’d like to say this is the start of a bad joke, but it isn’t really. It’s my life.

Can you be called a baby daddy if the secret baby shows up as a teenager?

I don’t know anything about raising a teen. And the one person who could help me is my nemesis.

Roxanne McAllister.

I should hate him for being her father. Only I don’t fault him for sleeping with my sister.

This is the story of my life. I’ve always been runner-up to my older sibling.

Then tragedy strikes - again - and I’m left with a dilemma. Can I count on the person I despise the most in Blue Ridge?

unlikable hero

Usually the player hero eventually shows his heart and turns likable... not this time. his player past keeps coming up and although he created his past he doesn't understand why people keep bringing it up. He seemed more concerned about chasing the h instead of establishing a relationship with his daughter. this guy was a jerk...i was angry listening to this entire story...at least it was not boring.

Are other women that insecure at our age?

I just turned 42 3 days ago and I wanted to smack Roxy up side her head more than half the book. I’ve been told I’m different from other women in that I’m more understanding and logical but I never believed it till now. I just couldn’t understand why she was thinking the way she was and why she was sabotaging everything. I’m guessing there was a lot of people involved in the writing, editing and etc so I having trouble thinking every one of the women didn’t say anything about the story line, if they didn’t think it was plausible. Just makes me shake my head at how some women act. Other than that I enjoyed the book. The other characters were great.

Heart and heat!

This story tugged at my heart!

Loss, self doubt, a man and a woman who have both built walls so high you don't know if love is enough to knock them down!
A father and daughter who never knew about each other, finally get the chance and form unbreakable bonds.
Sparks fly between Billy and Roxie in more ways than one! 🔥 They clearly believe in each other but to make it work they have to find a way to believe in themselves.
The beautiful little town of Blue Ridge turns out to be the perfect backdrop for healing and seconds chances!

LOVE IT!

Swoony Enemies-to-Lovers

Oh, how I love a good enemies-to-lovers romance and Silver Player is a fantastic one! This is book two in the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series and they just keep getting better! The flirty bickering, witty (and sometimes childish) exchanges, and not-so-neighborly charm between Roxy and Billy mask a chemistry that is off the charts! When Billy found out he’s a dad in Silver Brewer, we knew his journey would involve leaving his player ways behind to be the father his daughter deserves. This isn’t your run of the mill secret kid romance. L.B. Dunbar writes stories with beautiful, heartwarming depth. This book had layers I wasn’t expecting; it made me cry, laugh and swoon. Sometimes all at once.

Roxy is the quiet, rule-following bookstore owner and aunt to the amazing Sadie. Billy is the broody, misunderstood manw***re with a heart of gold. Their rivalry has gone on for ages, but when truths unfold, they form a bond no one ever expected. Sadie is a beautiful, heartbroken, whip-smart sixteen year old looking for her place in a new town. Silver player is a touching story about family dynamics, finding love after heartbreak, family dynamics and heart beyond measure. In Silver Player, you meet even more of the Harrington brood, and they are a fun bunch!

The audiobook is fantastic! Jason Clarke gave an emotionally raw, passionate, stellar performance as Billy Harrington. His signature gruff voice and amiable personality embodied Billy perfectly. He was absolutely wonderful as the tormented, misunderstood, lovable, seductive brewmaster. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker is a newer-to-me narrator and a new fave! Her characterization of Roxy is fun, flirty, naïve, sultry…simply stunning. Their voices for all the ancillary characters are unique and fun. Each distinct and lovely personality is amplified by Jason and Stephanie’s awesome performances.

Jason Clarke is fantastic

I really enjoyed Jason Clark's performance here. The character work is really good, and he portrays women very well indeed

The plot wore thin.

I just kept thinking, “ Just talk to each other!!” They were on then off with very little plausible reason.

Drove Me Crazy

Do we really miss signs like this in your 40's. There was no reason this book should have taken 40 Chapters. At times I didn't know who to dislike more, the guy or the girl. Definitely not as good as the first book.
