Mystery plot!!

Alexis finally takes her vacation and she finds herself helping a new friend out. When she finally goes out back to see in search for a mysterious item, I feel like this is really when the story picks up. I enjoyed the suspense and plot that surrounded the mysterious boat. It was fun and kept me on edge of my seat. The narrator, Kelly Huston did a wonderful job performing the story and using different tones and inflections for different characters. She truly elevates the story for me.

I hope this isn't the end of the series!

This last book had me not wanting to stop listening the action in this series keeps you on your feet! I really hope there is more to come in this series and I loved the narrorator she really gets into her stories and I can't wait to hear more from her and the writer ❤ * I received this free audio book for an honest review *

favorite!

I have enjoyed this series from book one -- but this is by far my favorite one! Alexis is on vacation. However unlike normal mortals and humans-- she gets sucked into helping a vampire (of all things) after almost being munched on. His hitchhiker wants to die and the struggle is real; whatever game Elizabeth is playing she's def upping the score with each dark entity.
Alexis learns of an alchemist with the ability to separate the dark from the host -- at what cost no one is sure of. Along the journey to find the missing piece to complete the process, she runs into a few mishaps and a few sunken ships. Few of those ships have hidden mysteries of their own that she feels obligated to help solve.
Nothing this PI can't handle.
this book is def more mystery than the others. more twists and turns, more intrigue to it.
I'm so glad the story continues and will hopefully have another installment.
not to mention the narrator, she really is spectacular and with any luck she'll be here for the entire series!

alex is almost like sam in many ways but in a mermaid twist.

alex hasn't disappointed me with her adventures. also the twists of hearing the other characters from moon novels makes it like they're always fighting evil and who it thought that both women are private investigators. go figure. hope to hear more of alex and her new adventures.

Incredible addition to a fabulous series!

Vampire Niles Chamberlain gets more than he bargained for when he makes the mistake of biting Alex in Silver Crucible, Book 4 of the fabulous Alexis Silver Series. Not only do Mermaids taste, well, disgusting to Vampires, Alex promptly puts him in his place, ouch, poor Niles! Was it a random boo boo? Sadly no, and truth be told, it really wasn’t Niles fault! It seems Niles’ Dark Master KNEW what would happen, but he wants out and doesn’t care if Niles is sacrificed in the process! This isn’t the only bit of shenanigans interrupting Alex’s long awaited, badly needed vacation cruising around Central America! It seems those waters are virtually watery graves, littered with the remains of ships, and be still my heart, oh wait, saying would be playing spoiler! Oops! Grab your headphones and prepare to be enthralled, mesmerized, horrified, and completely blown away by this one! The characters are a joy! They are so well developed that they smack of reality. I feel like I could run into them at the corner store and recognize them! I have to say, I really fell hard for Niles! The story, THIS STORY, is so well laid out, and flows so beautifully! The writing is clear, and the premise fascinating! What I really LOVE is that it all makes sense! I have no lingering questions! The only thing I want is more, like book five NOW! The other half of what makes this experience so pleasurable is the standout narration. The voice acting is incredible! Throughly consistent, throughly convincing, emotionally appropriate and in one word, perfect! Five stars, every category, across the board, perfect! I absolutely LOVED it!

Another great Alex Silver story

I have loved getting to know Alex Silver in the series so much! She’s a fun character and her interactions with her dark master are always so much fun. It was fun to see Alex in a completely different setting and the new characters we got to meet in this story. As always Alex ends up having to deal with many more things than she bargained for. I really want to know more about what is going on with the dark masters and what the end game is going to be. As always Alex is a joy to follow along on her adventures. I can’t wait to see what will happen next. Definitely a story that can be read alone but it’s so much better read in the series and order to know everything that’s going on.

Okay, I think I can safely say that she’s not going to meet anyone soon lol. All in all it was a great read. Kelley Huston did an amazing job at narrating

A great listen

This book breaks pattern by having one story instead of 2 stories. Its also less of a detective story and more of a adventure story like romancing the stone but no romance. The narrator continues to be warm and endearing. This story expands the ongoing arc and its fun. It introduces new characters and concepts and I just wished more characters from previous stories would shop up. Overall the story is good and I still like the characters.

Love strong women characters written in first person. I can definitely tell that there is more than just J. R. Rain authoring this book. Nice but different.

Alexis is supposed to be on vacation, but of course she doesn't just get to relax. She comes across a vampire and a ghost ship. Both need her help. This is a fun story and I love the conversations between the two of them
