I loved it!

Shut Up and Kiss Me by Lauren Blakely is another hit! I love how the author writes the characters and makes one feel connected to them. The descriptions and details are outstanding. I can envision so many details. The pairing of narrators was absolutely fantastic! Julia Whelan and Jason Clarke are incredible alone, but together they wove magic. I really enjoyed this book.

What a fantastic friends to lovers journey

There is something special about about an author who can write a countless number of stories using one trope while always delivering a different, unique, captivating story with some of the most fun, flirty, and hilarious characters. Lauren is no stranger to romantic comedies. She is no stranger to a great friends-to-lovers story. She is no stranger to an amazing cast of main and supporting characters that always make you feel like you are a part of their world.

Shut up and Kiss Me was fantastic. Nolan and Emerson were best friends and business partners who were waiting for their chance to make it big and have their food vlog take off. When an opportunity arises Nolan and Emerson find themselves competing for a chance of a lifetime while trying to navigate their own feelings for one another. The long-time friends were used to the suggestive and flirtatious banter as it was a part of their show, but has it always been an act or where these two destined to cross the line of friendship into so much more.

I loved Emerson so much, but my heart also ached for her and the loss she has endured. I couldn't even imagine a loss like that. It was so heartwarming when she, herself realized what was holding her back and what she needed to do for herself. This book was so much fun. I read the e-book and I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Julia Whelan and Jason Clarke. The two did a wonderful falling right into character with Emerson and Nolan. I truly felt like I was right along their side as they traveled to Vegas and then to NYC. I felt I was right along as they traveled from shop to shop recording their vlog with the many different foods they tried. This book was different and I really enjoyed the experience. Of course, the entire supporting cast contributed in making Emerson and Nolan's story pure perfection. Every time I read one of Lauren's books it is as if I am watching an episode of a favorite Netflix show. (I wish).

A Fun Rom-Com

This is such a fun and enjoyable rom-com. I really enjoyed the premise of two friends, Nolan and Emerson, who have a food review/blog that they are trying to get launched into mainstream media. While it's obvious that these two will go from a friends to lovers situation, how they get there is a collection of funny and romantic situations.

Friends to Lovers, Foodie & Sexy

I love the friends to lovers trope. Blakely's Shut Up and Kiss me delivered a sizzling friends to lovers romance that was sexy, flirty and so delicious. Emerson and Nolan's relationship felt genuine from their friendship to what happens when they cross the line and try to ignore their feelings. All the food talk had me drooling.

I adore Julia Whelan's narration, and she was perfectly paired with the talents of Jason Clarke. The audio was such fun to listen to. I devoured it.

Loved all the details

The narrators performance made this funny story a wonderful listen. The details of food and the cities kept the story interesting.

From the opening with all those innuendos, to the very swoony ending, this book is pure FUN! Witty banter, quick comebacks...and the one bed...this is a story you can get lost in over and over again.

Oh, and Nancy...that was just brilliant!

Amazing Friends to Lovers!!!!

This friends to lovers was everything I was hoping for and expecting from Lauren Blakely! The characters were funny, the banter is top notch, and of course their chemistry was off the charts! I always fall in love with the Lauren's characters and this book was no exception! and to top it off, Jason Clarke and Julia Whelan were both amazing narrators. I will listen to anything narrated by Jason, but it's so much better when I am loving the character he is bringing to life. Highly recommend this one!!!!

Sweet Romance

Narration was great and the story was just as expected. Sweet with a little spice with alot of passion🥰🥰

Beautiful Story!

This is the second book in the Happy Endings series. This is a sweet friends-to-lovers romance. Nolan and Emerson are great characters. I liked their banter, and push and pull relationship. The story has some emotional parts. This is a beautiful story. Julia Whelan and Jason Clarke did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it. The bonus novella Shameless Flirt is a great addition to this audiobook, performed by Teddy Hamilton, Shane East, and a full cast.

Vegas and a kiss

I absolutely love friends to lovers and Nolan and Emerson did not disappoint. Their chemistry is off the charts, you could filet it with a knife. The funny back and forth banter is the perfect build up to what is going to happen between these two. And the cast of friends are amazing.

Emerson has been dealt a heavy blow in life and she depends on her friends to get her through. She has feelings for Nolan that go beyond friends but she isn't willing to risk his friendship for what might happen since life gives us no guarantees.

Nolan has been attracted to his best friend and partner for a long time but acting on those feeling would complicate things. When they are thrust back to sin city for a business venture it seems fate has other plans and Nolan and Emerson will be faced with what lies in their hearts and what to do about it.

Great story and great characters. I loved how this is a bunch of great friends that are all just living their best lives and we get to follow along and watch. We have several side stories that are mingled in with Nolan and Emerson's and it is just a great read/listen.

Julia Whelan and Jason Clarke are just perfect for narrating this book. Their voices matched the characters and their timing with the story was perfect. I loved listening from beginning to end and was very happy to get a bonus at the end that gives us the beginning of TJ and Jude's story.
