Not her best
I enjoy clean romantic suspense novels and have loved Susan’s books for years but her last few Survival Lake books have been disappointing. This one was so frustrating to listen to with the whiny actions of Jada, a Navy Seal, behaving like a middle school brat, and the main characters weren’t much better. The narrator is not my favorite either. I am re-listening to one of her earlier books with a different narrator and it is so much better. I will give her new series a try but I may have to give up on her books.

Very Predictable
I have loved Susan Sleeman for a long time now. However, her stories have become more predictable than a Hallmark movie. I may have to give up on buying her books. Her storylines always seem to follow the same theme: someone bad is after the main character, who then needs to be saved. Somehow the bad guy is always able to be a step ahead with overly dramatic evil actions (making the good guys seem really ignorant and overly cheesy/dramatic in their reactions and soul searching). But, after much drama, the good guys win and the couple falls in love…the end.
