WOW!

The abridged recording of this book and its previous narrator was already good, but this new unabridged recording with Sam is next level outstanding!!

Narrated by Darth Maul himself!

Sam Witwer (narrator) did such an amazing job with the different voices, and really sold the dramatic story telling. Not to mention he’s the official Darth Maul voice actor in Rebels, Clone Wars, and Solo. It was also very cool to sometime hear the voice of Starkiller from the Force Unleashed games. (Also voiced and designed from Sam Witwer)

Sam Witwer kills it!

I never get tired of hearing Sam’s Darth Maul or voice. People complain about the laughing and grunting but it’s really not even bad. Another legends book I’m glad to see come to life!

Sam Witwer is perfection

Great language, character building and perfection in Legends writing.

Sam Witwer is Amazing

I’m so glad this exists and hearing the official voice actor for Maul and Sidious was a treat. His Qui-Gon impression was also spot on.

Narration captured the mood perfectly.

Any other narrator would have failed this...save for maybe Marc. Witwer, being the V.A. for Maul in The Clone Wars makes it perfect though. His narration made me "SEE" Maul and feel his hubris and hate.

The story was almost perfect. Reaves gives us a great look into the underbelly of Corusant. Easy to follow and nice linear POV sections. The ending is the only thing that makes it a 4/5 for me was predictable ... but honestly... how else was that supposed to transpire? I would have liked to see the reluctant protagonist get a story plot synopsis at the end from the man himself, but rarely is an ending perfect.

Money well spent

A perfect bad guy with the legendary voice at the helm. Sam is incredible with a story of perseverance and making heroes in a time of hopelessness

A wonderful story

This was well thought out and put together. A wonderful listen, especially with Sam. Cannot wait for future titles. Maul is my favorite Sith.
