I was hooked immediately!!! Love this story and can’t wait to listen to second shield 2

greed and lack of value for life

Mack's overly fixated on the age difference was off putting and frustrating, especially since she was frothing at the mouth over the boy!!! Fact #1
never lie to yourself. Lie to others, but not to yourself. Because of jealousy and stupidity Mack almost lost her life turning the phone volume down. Smh!! Sometimes I think Mack's
tstl !!!!! Some very gutwrenching minutes. Gary was such a pig! Not happy with the ending and not going further. It's over in my mind!!!! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Blown Out of Waters

Wowza!!!! A very intense book that impacts you hard. The story holds you captivated and you are waiting to see what happens. Need a box of tissues for this book. Stacy did an astronomical job and this book deserves more than 5 stars!!! Loved it!!!

Engaging story

This author is a master of getting the reader/listener, involved in the story from the beginning to the end.
The story revolves around Mac/Mackenzie McAllister and Drew Bradley.
Mac is a Detective Sergeant who is surprised and not too happy to be assigned to show the “new kid” the workings of their squat.
Mac is unaware that Drew is more than it seems, an FBI agent sent undercover to investigate the squad.
Sparks fly between the two which troubles Mac since Drew is 12 years younger.
Classic Ms. Eaton, the story is told in the POV of both characters.
In the midst of the action and danger, feelings develop.
I am not a fan of cliffhangers, so I was a little disappointed at the end. That said, I did enjoy this audiobook.

i enjoy this one Never read this author's work before and I am really enjoy it it was entertaining.

I enjoyed listening to this book. I thought the narrator was good. Held my interest from the start.

suspense and romance

I didn't realize until the end of the book that the author was. former police officer and her husband is also a pice officer. her writing definitely reflects her knowledge and because of that, I'm not distracted by inaccurate background details. This story has a lot of action and the developing relationship between the and H is a slow burn. This book ends up as sort of a cliffhanger as there is clearly a book 2, but you can definitely listen/read this book and be satisfied with the ending as it is.

Good story

Although the story grabbed me from the start it took me a bit to get into the way the back and forth between chapters went. In the past the duo perspectives ive listened to continue the others view from where it was left off. These characters back track sometimes to depict their side of the story. I wasn't used to that style of writing, once I wrapped my brain around it I enjoyed it more.

I also found the narrator's stride with the characters got better as the Book progressed. I found it a little choppy at the beginning.

All in all I enjoyed the Book as this was my first from both the author and narrator I would definitely read/listen to something from them again.

Mack and Drew have chemistry and...

This story held my interest from the opening chapter to the last. Mack and Drew have chemistry and complications to spare. The two must navigate their unexpected attraction, police work and personal issues as their relationship develops. The narrators did a commendable job bringing the various characters to life.

Fantastic Book

Ms. Eaton kept me glued from page one til the end with her perfect writing. I loved the characters. Drew and Mac were cemented from the moment they met. It was refreshing to read about older woman/younger man trope. This book had lots off suspense and intrigued. The narrator did a fabulous job. Well done!
