Made it to the end

Lots of interior handwringing of emotions, more telling than showing, yet I made it to the end. Best aspect was teen visiting his mom as she embarks on new life and the divorcee bravely and doggedly building a new life for herself. The neurotic artist is tedious yet gratifying to see her grow as well.

Different story style

Told from the two mc viewpoints. Not much person to person interaction.slow moving.

The story was very good, something a lot of people can relate to. The ending was very good as well.

No limes for key lime pie.

This book was a great read/lesson, thanks. I loved the way Pam and Melody danced around each other. Neither one wanted to admit to the feelings she was having. I have always heard “Liquor is Quicker, but Tequila don’t care.”

Show me, don’t tell me...so much

Most of this story relies on repetitive descriptions of almost crippling misery. The characters weren’t allowed to move the story forward as much as I expected. As a result I couldn’t buy into their relationship. I liked the story more when the characters interacted through words and deeds.

Unfortunately, I developed a dislike for Pam that I never quite got over.

The narration was slow and uninspired. On a more positive note, I had no trouble imagining the Inn!

Unfulfilled potential

Too much internal dialogue. Flat narration.
I listened to the end, but I found myself waiting for it to be over.
Story was ok. Sweet. Just felt like it could have been so much more.

Great story and wonderful narration.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to in this case. This book was very enjoyable and had a creative story line. Not to mention, the narration was great, which is not always the case as it can actually ruin a good story. But, would highly recommend this read.
