Acerca de esta escucha

While the NFL has millions of fans all over the world, the most serious fans entertain dreams of becoming professional scouts. This book is for those people who are fascinated by player evaluation. Scout Speak tells the stories of scouts, talks about how they do their jobs, and shares insights, observations, and anecdotes from more than 30 current and former NFL evaluators.

Just to say this book is written very well and allows you to visualize yourself being a scout. It also gives you inside information and small tidbits of information that you can absolutely use as a scout. The stories make these scouts relatable, and you can envision yourself as a Scout. and I think that's the best attribute of the book. Neils contacts and shared experiences are amazing to hear.

Scout Speak is a deep dive into the process and lives of NFL scouts. I learned a ton about how they evaluate talent and the politics involved.

The reading performance is not good. The reader lacks understanding of football. Example: when a player is written as “LB Ray Lewis” or “TE Travis Kelce,” instead of saying “linebacker” or “tight end,” he says the letters. When he reads quotes, he sounds robotic even though the speaker’s words are often relaxed and conversational.

Overall, I loved the book for the words as they were written.
