Singles Mingle, Vamps Lurking, Ladies on the Prowl

Holly and Co are still navigating changes at the Inn while Holly helps with Valentines Day event planning that soon goes awry. It's not long before a death happens and the team is off to the races with a new mystery while dealing with their own interpersonal dramas. The same characters fans of the series have come to love are here continuing to evolve in their own lives as well as in how they work and live together. The quality of the story and narration continue in the way audiences have come to appreciate and it is always fun when new magic and paranormal developments get to pop in the story. There is a very minimal amount of Holly blowing things up only to bemoan how she doesn't understand why these things happen and I am beyond glad that this particular character trait seems to be moving to the wayside as she accepts it is in fact ok to be happy. In typical Beechwood Harbor fashion the end wraps up with the mix of happily ever after and unresolved new problems that set up the next story. I can say I am quite excited for the next book in the series and for the new storyline that is opening up based on how this volume ended. For those that have been enjoying the series this will not disappoint. A great easy listen in the paranormal cozy mystery genre, with romance accents, and good humor and pacing.
