Sarah D is floating through her late 20s a little aimlessly. That is until one day when she witnesses a boat explosion. The dramatic event turns out to be the beginning of a modern-day quest, orchestrated by the eccentric director of the popular Kingdom Hearts movie franchise.
As she follows the story on the local news, she thinks she hears the newscaster speaking directly to her on air. Though questioning her sanity a bit, Tiffany and Sarah D embark on the quest to find the key to the hidden kingdom and end up discovering what friendship and a dash of crazy can accomplish.
This novel is a hilarious story about friendship, getting out of one's comfort zone, and finding yourself - even if it's a little later than you had planned.

An Engaging Adventure with Friends You'll Love
I couldn't put down this book once it got going. I enjoyed unraveling the mystery of Kingdom Hearts with Sarah and Tiffany, the funny and quirky protagonists of this book. They had a believable friend chemistry and made me want to be their BFF, too.
The plot moved along at a good pace, enough details to make it memorable, but not too many to derail the action. It also reads like the best road trip ever & an ode to California. I loved visualizing each stop asking the way. I'm so glad the author included a list of the places the ladies visited in the end, so I could plan my own adventure.
This definitely needs to go on your summer reading list.

Sarah D is Definitely Not Boring!
I highly recommend this Audible book to anyone who likes a good comedy/adventure/mystery. I enjoyed following the two main characters to some iconic California locations! The details in the description made me long to return to the places I’d been and also to visit the places I hadn’t. The narrator’s cheery voice and conversational tone made me feel like I was listening to a story told by an old friend! The story line is fun and quirky and silly. All the things you want to listen to on your “escape afternoon walks”.
