This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Intense story of native peoples and their clash with Western civ
I enjoyed living vicariously through different cultural character minds via riveting plot lines in what to me are exotic locations. I drew very close to the characters who remain very dear to me. I hadn't read much in regard to Apartheid or Africa and while I was aware of some of the happenings, this book made me feel like I was there. Also, the language of Koba resonated as genuine. I'm anxious to pursue the sequels, which I understand will benefit the education of children of bush people, who sadly must now adapt as their environment changes rapidly.
