Good story - well developed characters

I have enjoyed all of Anne Tyler’s books - they are great books to listen to. Nice blend of sadness, humor and strong characters.

Realistic depiction of family relationships

Once again the author’s intelligent, keen ability to develop characters is evident here. She is a true master! I am generally disappointed in the endings though, as some things are left open for me; like questions I have when it’s over. :)
