So Intrigued

There are so many reasons this book gave me all the feels, good and bad. Riley has endured a lifetime of heart wrenching and soul shattering trauma. Watching her story with Matteo unfold heals the breaks in your heart as you turn page after page. The underlying story of who killed Derek Wolfe is still moving strong and has you on edge as you try to find each clue throughout the book. I listened to the audiobook, and it gives the story wings that soar as you listen chapter after chapter.

Another Great Series

Another great series. I loved it and can’t wait for the next book, “Rake”.
I have already pre-ordered it and I have pre-ordered the 5th book, “Reckoning”.

Too much

To much love at first site in this series. So far thus is book 3 and all three have the siblings in the same family falling in love after 1 or 2 weeks. Not realistic. One maybe, but not all three. Should have mixed the story line up a bit. Also to many books in the series, I feel like this is a money grab. If you want to know the outcome you have to continue to purchase the next book. And each are 6-7 hours. Just make a couple of 12-14 hour books and be done with it.

Loved Riley and Matt

A good story for this series! A bit unrealistic about how fast all these couples fall in love but I just over look that and enjoy the story. I can’t wait to find out who killed their father!!

Riley’s story is heartbreaking and not for the faint of heart. Be sure to heed TW. But it a good story of survival. How people can overcome horrific situations in their lives.

This is a love story wrapped in a mystery. It is a FAST romance, meaning Riley meets Matteo and they marry in under two weeks. I’d like more build in a relationship, but the story line is good. There are some holes, but since it’s a romance with mystery and not the other way around, I give it grace.

It’s an intriguing series.

The narrators do an excellent job.

This series is so darn good! Each book is different and enhances the mystery. On to the next one.

Boring

So the only reason I continued this series is to see if their father was really dead the stories themselves sucked. Not the events it just wasn't put together well. Disappointed

Too blasé on Riley's struggle with her trauma

Though overall this part of the story was ok, it didn't show the true depth of Riley's trauma. She spent nearly all her life being abused by her father in the most horrifying manner, and yet she fairly easily pushes it down to become intimate with Matteo. Her trauma is a difficult subject and I am sure the author didn't want to dwell on it, but she still could have better represented the difficulty and pain of trusting oneself into the care of another, especially intimately, after nearly two decades of abuse.

Anyway, the narrators were great.

GOOD ROMANCE

Mizz Helen wrote a great series so far & I give her my score of 3 fingers up & 6 toes. I feel that a female getting over that level of abuse that the heroine survived needs more time to heal, but what do I know.
