Another great Mikael Naramore reading

Great story brought to life by the range of characters that Naramore brings to it. If you aren’t listening to Mikael Naramore reading Jamie McFarlane or J.S. Morin or Kevin Hardman……. You Should Be. I listen to him at 1.2 speed and it’s like a movie inside my head.

Different characters

This was much better than the first book, the characters are growing. I hope the main Starfighters stick around.

Tank is really good, wish she was around more.

The romance is a little weak.

Otherwise the story is better than the usual space opera.

It seemed like we finally have a longer term plan for the story.

I liked the action sequences. Didn’t like the politics or the political maneuvering. However, it seemed like the opposition was a shadow puppet and easily dispatched. If we are going to play the political game, the opposition needs to be better fleshed out. I can’t wait to see where we go in the next installment.

Taking charge

This is the second book in the series. It followed the story line fantastic. How he is fighting the government and the establishment trying to help them help themselves. Taking charge of their military and again fighting to get what he needs to get the planet ready for the next invasion which will come. Not where but when. With any good leader he was bound to run into trouble. That holds true today also. Training starfighters and building the military is his passion. That is why they wanted him in the first place.
Kick ass and take names
There has to be a 3rd book as this war is not finished by a long shot. Beside he needs to get his old girlfriend back.
