From #1 bestselling and USA Today bestselling author Jack Mars, author of the critically-acclaimed Luke Stone and Agent Zero series (with over 5,000 five-star reviews), comes an explosive new, action-packed thriller series that takes listeners on a wild-ride across Europe, America, and the world.

After elite Navy Seal Troy Stark is forced into retirement for his dubious respect for authority, his work in stopping a major terrorist threat to New York is noticed. Invited to join a secretive new international terrorist-fighting organization, Troy must hunt down all threats to the U.S. that originate from overseas—and pre-empt them by any means possible.

In ROGUE ATTACK (Book #8), Troy Stark plunges into the heart of darkness to sabotage a submarine-borne drug ring with ambitions as deep as the ocean. His only allies: his wits and his team. Can this clandestine operative outwit the masterminds of an international drug empire before their latest product floods the streets?

There is nothing that bothers me more, then changing out the narrator several books into a series. It’s like changing out a main character actor in a popular series that ruins the entire storyline. The second thing that I cannot stand is when corrections are made, or retakes if you will, but both the mistakes and the retakes are played one right after the other. The book has many corrections that were left in. I usually enjoy this author, and this series. But between the retakes and the subpar narration, it ruined the book for me.

Disappointed

I am not sure if it was because is was a new narrator, but it sounded more like AI and blah. Obviously the voices and name pronunciations were different ect. I am usually excited to hear more of the story with this series, but I was just trying to get through this one.

Narration lacked a lot

It seems that this book was rushed through editing. There are numerous repeats. Unusual for audible.

Lots of repeats

they didn't spend much time editing this as there are many repetitive parts and the new guy say Jan's name wrong. good story though

bad editing

Kind of a darker storyline than the rest of the books. New narrator is not as good as Philip Sacramento but isn’t bad. Many of the books have lines that get repeated and this one had more than the rest. I don’t think it’s an issue with the book I think it’s a glitch in Audible.

A darker storyline than other books in the series

Phillip Sacramento did a great job of creating unique voices for each character that really enhanced the story. This was my least favorite in the series simply due to the change in narration made it harder to follow who was speaking throughout.

Did not like change in narrator

Jan is a very big Swedish man. Pronounced “Yahn” . Drove me nuts the entire book.

Good story but the narration was poor

I have enjoyed the previous “Troy Stark” novels. This one is very disappointing. The editing was the worst I have ever heard. Sentences repeated throughout the story

Poor narration with numerous mispronunciations

I like the Troy Stark series. And I won’t pretend that I don’t understand at some level how all this stuff works when it comes to narration and contracts. But you hear a story and you associate the narrator‘s voice with the characters and then to change it up and add a new one who is not very good and the longer the book went, the more unedited part of the narrative existed. I didn’t use a credit for an audible book that was unedited. I was very, very, very, very disappointed in this book. I really like Troy Stark’s character. I just could not choke this one down.

I miss the Philip Sacramento narration! After listening through the previous books in the series, changing the narrator is killing the book for me. Narrators who are new to a series should be required to at least listen to previous narration in that series. Mispronouncing names and places with regularity just makes this seem like it’s not a book in the series, but just a standalone for me. There’s no hard edge and accents are only partially attempted. And that’s a reflection on not only the narrator, but also the engineer and the production company who had to review this before publishing and thought it was good enough.

Every 10-15 minutes there are repeated lines that aren't edited out. The current narrator isn't to blame. It's the publisher for the audio version who deserves a zero star review.

Editing is Horrible and I Miss Philip Sacramento Narration
