Classic and fun easy read that will bring you back to earth while feeling all the feels

This author is so talented and while her memoir is dramatic, potent and raw, this novel takes a lighthearted spin on dramatic, potent and raw topics. The themes are the kind that make you a little more grateful and content and the characters are imperfect but perfectly lovable. It all ties together in the end in a neat and heart fluttering bow.

A delight!

I’m giving this all starts, because it is that much of a delight of a book. If you’ve read through enough reviews and know yourself well enough (to know what you’re in the mood for, and are feeling like this might be it, go for it). We’re still not over the pandemic & I’m dealing w a health issue so yeah, maybe I’m appreciating it more than usual, which isn’t to say it isn’t worth every gold start it receives!

Refreshing Love Story

I loved everything about this book. Its a refreshing love story that draws the reader in to the lives of these well crafted characters. Highly recommend!

My favorite author by far…

Fascinating, fun and fast-paced, I now have to face months of agony while I wait for Beck Dorey-Stein’s next publication. All of her work - two books so far - is thoroughly researched and relevant. This author is at the top of her game….. keep watching.

Exceptional storytelling 😊

Was such an enjoyable read with no violence just human interaction and memorable experiences that were relatable.

Well written

I read this author’s first book “Good Morning Mr. President” and was excited to see this fiction book published. It was a great story, told very well and I couldn’t stop listening! I enjoyed very much! Keep on writing, Beck!!

Quotable “light” reading

This book had a surprising number of quotes that I found myself 🔄30 seconds to listen to again. Seriously, had I been reading rather than listening I would have used a highlighter. I hope Beck Dorey-Stein has more for me to read!

Also, Ms. DiMercurio was the perfect narrated, too.

Not really worth the purchase but I stuck with it hoping that it would improve

Great narrator redeems average story

Caption pretty much sums up my review. The story and characters were border-line ROM COM, and sort of annoying at times. The most poignant and appealing character was deceased when the story started, although he was continually referenced. Enough said. Really great narration kept my attention even when the story dragged.

Great summer read

This book was a lot of fun to listen to, and I didn’t want to put it down. The small beach town was my favorite character—it made me want to live among its scenery and quirky small town characters. I highly recommend this book for optimal escapist reading.
