This book is rollercoaster

The story started out really slow at first but once it really started a few chapters in it got better. I was so invested in these characters and what was going to happen to them. I never was right about where it was going to go and I was so pleased that the book ended on such a happy note;

Thank you for the Audio AXC, I voluntarily give this a honest review. Adam likes being behind the scenes more then front and center. meeting Josh brings him a happiness he didn't realize was missing. having Josh come to his pack may be great until the pack wanted him to take over. can Adam have both worlds one as alpha with Josh at his side or will he have to choose between the two? this was such a moving story. loved it and Christopher Kauzlarich did a wonderful job. really recommend for this book.

Content and mellow until it wasn't...

This book talks a lot about getting out of our comfort zones. I relate a lot to Adam, mellow life, work, friends, no worries, no fuss. Until it wasn't that simple anymore. It's a story about leadership, about balance between vengeance and justice. It's also a love story, mates for shifters.

I love the "family because we chose them" component too.

This is a new-to-me author and same goes for the narrator. Both did an excellent job. Can't wait to see more.

Definitely recommended

This was very unlike any other shifter story I've read in the best way possible. Told in a single person POV, it was more than a romance between two characters. Yes, that played a huge role, but it was more about pack families, loyalty and friendship.

Adam Miller was content. He had an office job where he was respected, a pack that he loved, and alpha friend who guided him and plenty of freedom. It wasn't perfect, but he didn't want to rock the boat. He was next in line for alpha and his secrets could wait.

Joshua Wetmore walked into Adam's conference room and changed everything with a glance. His sweet omega side called to Adam and soon their connection sparked.

When Adam's alpha suddenly dies, the pack looks to him for comfort, guidance, and leadership, but most of all, revenge. They want blood and will stop at nothing to get it. Even if that means taking down Adam and his mate.

The overall theme of family and bonds was the main thread that wove this story. It was more than just Adam and Josh's relationship. There were so many elements involved with side characters and side stories that all interwove into an inspiring tale.

Noah Harris has a unique writing style that moves the reader with descriptive phrases and effortless flow. I can't wait to dive into more from this author.

The narration by Christopher Kauzlarich was impeccable. His voices were distinct for each character, adding emotion and depth to the story.

If paranormal/shifter romance is your thing, you'll absolutely love this audio version of Noah Harris' story. I'd definitely recommend giving it a listen.

an awesome listen.

this is a awesome listen. It is a little dark for me but I prefer a light read. The narration was amazing and so perfect for the characters and emotions of the book. An amazing book to listen to.

emotional journey

I admired Adam's tenacity to fight for what he wanted- Josh!!!! I appreciated the support from some friends that helped him. Lots of emotions, challenges , and changes, but Adam met them and his destiny. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job.
