Set in a near-future, post-ecological and post-economic collapse, Revolution World chronicles the romance between rogue genetic engineer Clio Somata, and martial-artist computer-programmer Seth Boucher. Sadly, the road of love is never easy...in this case, an overreaching US military establishment and an evil multi-national bioengineering firm has decided that they want what Clio and her family has - cutting edge bio-technology. The conflict between the Somata clan and the US government ends up being the catalyst that drives a bunch of libertarian Texan gamers to declare a revolt against the oppressive US government, kicking off a new Texas Revolution!

Reseñas editoriales
Rogue genetic engineer Clio Somata and martial artist computer programmer Seth Boucher have immediate chemistry upon meeting, but their burgeoning romance is threatened by the US military and an evil multinational bioengineering firm. Narrator Michele Knotz's jaunty performance keeps the action moving at an exciting pace, but she is most adept at creating distinct voices for Clio and Seth. Clio is youthful and eager, with a sweetness that softens her Texas accent, while Seth's slight awkwardness and laidback nature come through clearly.
Listeners looking for stories with libertarian themes will enjoy this audiobook about citizens of a dystopian Texas fighting for their rights against an oppressive government.
The science elements are low volume in the bio and cyber realms. The real meat of the story is the conflict between Texas' fierce independent streak and the over the top national government's nearly fascist control freak tendencies. The author must be a Texan who replaced moonshine with computer code and is fantasizing about Texas coming into their own.
Overall, this is a lighted hearted romp through an undesirable and dystopic near future that is nevertheless still entertaining. The narration is well done and the story flows quickly.
Cheeky cyber vampires! What's not to like?

I recommend this book to people who like stories that keep you at the edge of your seat and have comedy every now and then. Also, if you like Ninja Pomeranians and fire-breathing cows! The genetic mutations with the animals are interesting, too!
Such an amazing audiobook!
