I really enjoyed this book. I have not listened to / read all 33 books in the series. What I love about the series is that the author provides sufficient background into previous books for you to enjoy the latest book in the series. However, I do recommend that you read / listen to "Along came a spider" before reading / listening this book. I am hooked on the characters -Alex Cross is a legend. The book provides intrigue and cliffhanger moments.
