Voz Virtual es una narración generada por computadora para audiolibros..

I lived a long life. A life full of battles and survival. I waded through the fires of the ravished, the jungles of despair, and the plains of oblivion. The world had fallen, and one by one, my friends and family died. I was the last and was ready to accept the end. If I could go back and change the past, I would. I could make a real difference when the Gatestone first appeared. I could keep my sister alive, and I could train my party for the rifts and raids that would determine the fate of the world. Closing my eyes, I took my last breath. Only, I didn't stay dead...

Waking in the body of my eighteen-year-old self, I found my wish had come true. I only had one week before the fall began, and the system activated. There was a lot to do to prepare myself and my sister. I was going to do things right this time. I was going to be the one to close the Gatestone and seal away the darkness that claimed my past life.

If only I knew the trap for what it was.

Don’t know how they let this get past them but they keep reading H/P as horse power instead of H/P like it should be. Do they not check before releasing the it? This should have been an easy catch.

Horse power=H/P

needs polishing and a better reading service wouldn't hurt. good idea for a story line.

seriously how hard is it to actually say the words "HIT POINTS" ?

Story is good. I had to give up about a quarter of the way in tho due to the virtual voice with horse power and other mispronounced items.

Bad virtual voice

I would’ve given it an overall five stars because of the story was pretty decent the author made his own spin on the regressor genre and made it entertaining. The problem is AI can’t differentiate the use of HP and will read out the most common phrase, in which it is believe to be abbreviated for. Authors using AI to narrate are going to have to spell out hit points/health points, because HP has been longer used and recognized as the abbreviation for the measurement of horsepower.
“The abbreviation HP for horsepower dates back to the late 18th century, coinciding with the development of the term by Scottish engineer James Watt. While creating the term, the accompanying abbreviation "hp" was adopted for convenience and ease of communication.”
“The abbreviation HP originated in the 1970s as an abbreviation for "hit points" in the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons. The interpretation of HP as "health points" came later as a re-coined term in video game culture.”
To be honest, I preferred this AI narration to anything that I’ve ever had Jeff Hayes or many of the other side effect, using or whisper and scream voice actors ruining a story. I’d rather hear horsepower anytime for HP knowing it means hit points or health points than some side effects or whisper and scream voice acting they ruin the story.

HP does abbreviate horsepower just not in this instance.

Story line was good. Character development could use some polishing. I did enjoy the premises of the story line, different twist on going back in time with the knowledge of futures experince. I am pretty sure the book uses health points(hp) but with virtual voice it referred to hp as horse power. I understand cutting some cost down, but good narrators can make a ok book a better book because they can put feeling in to the story and virtual voice has ruined 90% of the plus catalog for me. would like to listen to this book narrated by a genuine human.

First I recognize that getting an audio book made is not cheap and that, sometimes, virtual voice seems like its better than nothing. I hate the idea of Virtual Voice, but figured I'd give it a try.

For a generated audio voice, it starts out okay. It's much better than a static screen reader. Then, the problems start to stack pretty quick. Wrong emphasis on the wrong syllable. Phrases that need emotion lack it. Phrases that are rote are given emotion. It's an extremely jarring juxtoposition. Then there's the zinger.

Every time someone looses hp, it's read "horsepower". I checked against the text to make sure it actually didn't read that way. It doesn't. After about an hour of that, I threw in the towel.

With that said, I love of regressor story; however, the early "I'm all over you b/c you freaked out when you saw me" love interest just feels so off. She just met him. Now she's rubbing his back after a day of fighting? I didn't finish the story so I left the story at 3 stars. I still gave the performance 2 bc I guess it's better than nothing at all, but not by much.

I'll probably finish this on kindle, but pass on the audio. Virtual voice completely failed the author here.

This book felt rushed in quite a few locations, character development could be improved. New characters are introduced in a single sentence, and everyone treats them like best friends. However the story itself is good!
The "narrator" however is the worst part of the book. Monotone, emotionless, sentence spacing, mispronounced words. I don't think I'll be picking up another book with AI narrative.
I will pick the series back up if they get a real narrator, otherwise i will need to get the book which i don't have time for.

Great story potential! (rushed and poor narrator)
