Cater & Kara

I found Carter to be sweet, caring and an all-round good guy, though I wasn't a fan of his short temper.

Kara was also sweet, and her willingness to put everyone else first is admirable but I felt like she did it because she lacks some confidence. She seemed to always second guess herself.

I really liked the meeting between these two, and how their relationship grew from lust, to more than lust to friends then to lovers.

Of course there were circumstances that brings a little drama but I found that the most dramatic parts of the book were from Kara. I think because of the lack of confidence in herself she was a little dramatic at times when an easy conversation would have cleared up a lot of things.
Add in Carter's short temper and this book is anything but boring. ;)

I very much liked the way Carter was when he was with Kara’s nephew. That just melts a girl’s heart.
I loved the ending. I think the story took us on a ride and we just had to go with it.

The narration, Tor’s voice is like warm syrup all yummy and gravely it’s perfect for Carter. And though I sometime have a hit or a miss with the female narrators I have to say I really enjoyed Charley’s female voices. She made Kara, Kara for me.

This was a first by Leddy Harper for me, and I can say I would totally listen to more of audiobooks by this author.

Loved It!

I enjoyed listening to Resuscitate Me so much that I actually finished it in one day! The duet narration is seemless and Tor Thom and Charley Ongel were AMAZING narrators.

Kinda Frustrating For Me

Kara spent the summer helping care for her nephew before heading back to school as a teacher in the fall. When she meets Carter Hastings at the gym sparks fly. Neither one is looking for a relationship, after all, Kara’s only there for the summer. Let the summer fling begin!

For me, this audiobook was an exercise in frustration. Kara starts off wearing her heart on her sleeve but when she agrees to a no strings relationship with Carter she becomes the exact opposite. She starts acting cold and expecting Carter to confess undying love all the while she can’t be honest about her growing feelings either, pot meet kettle. Just about the time I’m ready to throw in the towel someone will read Kara the riot act about her behavior and Kara will come to her senses. Thank goodness because it saved me from tossing this audiobook into the did not finish pile.

I enjoy author Leddy Harper’s style of writing and even though the content of this book wasn’t to my particular liking, I will see what she’s up to next and she certainly knows how to pick an awesome cover!

Resuscitate Me is a duet narration by Charley Ongel and Tor Thom. This duet team is one of the few that I enjoy listening to. Both narrators are good at conveying emotion and have excellent pacing, but even the strength of their narration can’t quite push this book out of the 3-star category.

I love the story. The characters are strong and fun. The author did great with the storyline. I've enjoyed every second of it. I want more!

The narrators are both amazing and working so well together. The emotions in their voices are PERFECT. The tempo is perfect. Everything about this audiobook is perfect.
A new favorite of mine, thats for sure!

Yes many of my friends love Alpha males like Carter plus all the angst and romance in this book super hot and sexy!

Carter I love his alpha side but then sweetness he doesn't even realize he has.

They bring the characters to life! I felt there happiness and pain
