The daemon needs the relics to keep a dangerous portal closed. His enemy, Gabriel, wants the relics to open the portal and give his people access to a new feeding ground - Earth. When Gabriel threatens their family, Thulu and La Fi's search becomes personal. The couple will need powerful help in the race to find the relics before Gabriel does. But maybe that's what ghostly friends, magical allies, and daemonic clients are for.

Engaging story and endearing characters

I found the story easy to relate to and be invested into. I don’t normally read (or listen to in this case) fantasy that takes place in the “real” world I found this quite a surprising and slightly disturbing view of things. I enjoyed the characters and the struggles as we learned the answers to the mysteries along the way.

The narrator has a pleasant voice but her pronunciation of male and female sounded more like “mell” and “femell”. lol seriously tho, she was very easy to listen to.

Relics

Has a fun and attention grabbing storyline. I enjoyed the personalities of the characters. The narrator added to the story and helped bring it to life.
