Resumen del Editor

A battleground and a rock festival. Love and war in the age of Aquarius.

A startlingly vivid portrayal of the 1960s, as seen through the eyes of two ill-fated college lovers. The story of their generation spills across some of the era’s most iconic settings: the legendary battleground of Khe Sanh; a Midwestern campus riven by dissent; and Altamont Speedway, scene of the notorious rock festival that ended the sixties.

Booklist: “[B]arager's dynamic, passionate, often moving exploration of the turbulent and politically divided 1960s...is striking. The cast of complicated characters adds arresting human dimensions.”

Kirkus Indie: “Barager spins a compelling tale of youthful passion, both personal and political...a rich, satisfying experience. A well-written, gripping novel that expertly blends fact and fiction, love and conviction.”

Evolved Publishing presents a startlingly vivid portrayal of the 1960s, as one reviewer put it: “the decade that changed us all”.

Drama, Love and War in the roaring 60's

Red Clay, Yellow Grass is Richard Barager's second novel. This one is a well written, captivating historical drama set in the 1960's, that perfectly depicts the way life was in that period.

In Red Clay, Yellow Grass we follow two young lovers as they are pulled into a series of events that will change them forever. From foster homes to college flings, from live concerts, to political rallies and into the Vietnam War, their adventure spans generations.

Actor, stand-up comedian and narrator Jon Noto brings all the characters in Red Clay, Yellow Grass to life with subtle intensity, powered by a versatile, changeable voice. I immediately liked his performance and I consider Jon Noto the perfect choice for this tragic story. He is definitely a talented voice-over artist and I will keep my ear on him.

Filled with vivid descriptions, likeble characters, and completely immersive, Red Clay, Yellow Grass by Richard Barager is a Novel of the 1960s that delights and entertains at the same time. Add to that the compelling narration by Jon Noto and you get a 5 star listen on your hands.

Interesting historical visit

Second worst narrator in more than 300 audio books in my library. Distracted from story which otherwise was okay.
